We have a variety of activities and programs for our youth. We feel it is a critical part of our role to educate and bring up youth in the way of the Lord.
"Even youths will faint and be weary, and the young will fall exhausted; but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." - Isaiah 40:30-31
Students in grades 7 and 8 meet weekly on Wednesday evenings to learn about what it means to be a good Christian and specifically what it means to be a Lutheran in today’s world.
High School Youth
In July of 2018 the high school youth traveled to Benton Harbor, Michigan for their yearly mission trip. This summer the group is headed to Leech Lake, a reservation in northern Minnesota, July 7-13th for another mission trip where the kids not only help those in need with various projects but they also grow in faith and learn what it truly means to be a follower of Jesus. The youth are meeting on the first Wednesday evening of each month for learning, connecting, and to plan activities.
Who doesn’t love Jesus and who doesn’t love music? On Wednesdays from September to May, all students who are in grades 1-6 are invited to come to church right after school for a fun time of play, learning and singing! This is an extra opportunity to learn about the Bible and get to know others in our community in addition to Sunday School on Sunday morning.
Each Wednesday will include a snack, a group fun activity, storytelling from the Bible, a craft and a short worship service including lots of music, skits, puppets, and prayer. Anyone who would enjoy learning and worshipping in this way is invited to come and join in the activities (parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors)!!
Spread the news, and invite anyone who you think would like to come and JAM!
